News and Notes from the Campaign Trail

Just 3 weeks ago I sat around a table with a team of longtime friends from across Ulster County to discuss the rumor of Elliott Aurbach leaving to join NYS Comptroller DiNappoli in Albany. “What do you think?” I asked them. Ten years ago I was involved in campaigning for the creation of this office and it has always been a position that inspired me with possibilities. Now talk is over and I am in it to win! My friend Elliott has moved on, the MarchforUlster website is up, my Facebook campaign site has just surpassed 600 “Likes” and now I’m hitting the campaign trail to meet voters and share my strategies and ideas for the Ulster County Comptrollers Office.

It’s been a busy week making plans, talking with the media, and reaching out to friends and supporters to let them know it’s official. I’ve also had the privilege of meeting with the City of Kingston Breakfast Club, Town of LLoyd and Town of Ulster Democratic Committees. In addition, I had a great time at the Annual Ulster County Democratic Committee Brunch to honor Congressman Delgado, State Senator Jen Metzger and our new Sheriff Juan Figeroa. Last year was incredible for Democrats and I’m excited to be at the top of the 2019 Ulster County ticket with wonderful company: for County Executive Pat Ryan, Dave Clegg for District Attorney, and for County Judge Bryan Rounds.

Campaigning is like a hurricane; everything blows by so fast it’s hard to acknowledge all the friends and support I have received but I am stunned by the support and grateful to all of you! Thank you, Thank, you, Thank you!!
